Cloudways AI Website Builder allows existing Cloudways customers to create an AI-generated WordPress website on an eligible paid Flexible server. You can choose the Free or Pro plan based on the features and monthly AI credits required for your website.
This guide explains how to add AI Website Builder to an existing paid server, select a plan, create the website environment, customize the generated website, and reopen it later from the Cloudways Platform.
How to Add AI Website Builder to an Existing Paid Server
Existing Cloudways users can create an AI Website Builder application on an eligible paid Flexible server. The available AI Website Builder features and monthly credits depend on whether you select the Free or Pro plan.
Existing Users with Free Plan
Log in to the Cloudways Platform.
From the Home dashboard, locate the Try Out the New AI Website Builder card and click Start Building Free.
Enter a description of the website you want to create as a prompt in the AI Website Editor. In the editor, enter a prompt describing your desired site, or choose from the pre-built prompts using the pills or illustrations provided below the editor.
Click the arrow button to continue.
On the Build Your Website with AI page:
Select the paid server that will host the website.
Enter an Application Name.
Select the Free plan.
Click Build Website.
Note:
The Free plan is available only once per customer during their 3-day free trial, along with 8 AI Credits. If you have already used the Free plan in the past, or you are in the Public Preview Phase, only the Pro plan will be available. At the end of the free period, the subscription will automatically upgrade to the Pro plan according to the information shown during setup. You can cancel the subscription for the individual application when required.
Wait while Cloudways creates the website environment and installs the application on the selected server. This usually takes two to three minutes.
Once the environment is ready, review the generated website in the AI Website Builder editor. You can enter additional prompts to update the website and publish it when ready.
To reopen the website later, go to Flexible → Applications, locate the application marked Built with Website Builder, open its three-dot menu, and select Edit with AI.
Existing Users with Pro Plan
Log in to the Cloudways Platform.
From the Home dashboard, locate the Try Out the New AI Website Builder card and click Try Now.
Enter a description of the website you want to create or select a pre-built prompt.
Click the arrow button to continue.
On the Build Your Website with AI page:
Select the paid server that will host the website.
Enter an Application Name.
Select the Pro plan.
Review the displayed monthly price and included AI credits, and then click Build Website.
Wait while Cloudways creates the website environment. Once complete, you are redirected to the AI Website Builder editor, where you can review, customize, and publish the generated website.
Alternatively, navigate to Flexible → Applications, locate the application marked Built with Website Builder, open the three-dot menu, and select Edit with AI.
The remaining journey is the same as mentioned in ‘Existing Users with Free Plan’ step 7.
Note:
In the provided interface, the Pro plan includes a Pro licence and 20 AI credits per month. Monthly AI credits are refilled on the 1st of each calendar month and do not roll over if unused. Pricing and plan inclusions are displayed during setup and should be reviewed before confirming the subscription.
