The Overview page in Cloudways Velocity shows your server’s current plan, your estimated cost for this month, and how much memory, processor power, and storage your server is using.

From this page, you can also change your plan or disk size. This article explains each part of the page step by step.

Cloudways Velocity is a Cloudways product for hosting Node.js applications. A server is a powerful computer on the internet that stores and runs your applications.

How to View Your Server Overview in Cloudways Velocity

Step #1 - Open the Server Overview:

  • Log in to your Cloudways account.

  • In the left menu, click Velocity.

  • Click My Servers.

  • On the Servers page, click the server you want to check.

The Overview page opens. It is the first option in the server’s left menu.

The Servers page lists each server’s name, plan, location, and creation date. The globe icon shows how many applications run on that server.

Step #2 - Check Your Plan Details:

The Plan Details section shows:

  • Current Plan: The package you pay for, for example Starter. A plan sets how much power and storage your server gets.

  • Estimated amount: What you owe so far this month. It includes your plan cost, any extra resource use, and any autoscaling server costs. Autoscaling means extra server power is added automatically when your applications need it.

Step #3 - Check Your Server Usage:

The Summary section shows how much of your server is in use. Each item has a progress bar. The more the bar is filled, the more of that resource is used.

  • RAM Usage: RAM is the server’s short-term memory. Your applications use it while they run. Example: 974 MB used out of 1.92 GB.

  • CPU Usage: The CPU is the processor that does the work of running your applications. It is shown as a percentage. Example: 10%.

  • Disk Usage: Disk space is the storage for your files and data. Example: 362 MB used out of 24.44 GB.

Step #4 - Refresh the Usage Numbers:

  1. In the Summary section, click Refresh.

  2. The numbers update to show the latest values.

Step #5 - Change Your Plan or Disk Space:

  • On the Overview page, click Edit Plan.

  • On the Choose Your Plan page, click the plan you want. Use the arrow on the right to see more plans. Each plan card shows its monthly price and its number of applications, vCPUs, RAM, and CDN bandwidth.

  • Under Choose Disk Space, drag the slider or type a number in the box. The size can be from 25 GB to 1000 GB.

  • Check the bar at the bottom. It shows your selected plan, RAM, disk, CPU, and monthly price.

  • Click Save Changes.

Conclusion

The Overview page is the place to see your plan, your estimated monthly cost, and your RAM, CPU, and disk usage. Click Refresh to see the latest numbers, and click Edit Plan to change your plan or disk size.
