Cloudways AI Website Builder runs on a single plan, Pro, which gives you 20 AI credits per website every month. New and eligible existing customers can try Pro through a one time trial before committing to a paid subscription.
There is no separate "free plan" that exists alongside Pro. The trial is a limited time, limited credit preview of the same Pro experience, and every account gets it exactly once.
How the trial works
Every Cloudways account is eligible for one AI Website Builder trial, for the lifetime of that account. Once a trial has been started, even if it's canceled or left to expire, that account cannot start another one.
What you get during the trial depends on your account type:
New Cloudways customers
Trial length: 3 days, running alongside your Flexible server trial
No payment method required, and nothing is charged automatically
When the trial ends, you'll need to add a server plan to keep using AI Website Builder on the Pro plan
Existing paid Cloudways customers
Trial length: 7 days (not currently available during the Public Preview phase)
When the 7 days end, the subscription converts directly to the Pro plan and billing begins right away. There is no grace period.
Trial AI credits: 8 AI Credits
Pro plan
Once the trial ends, or if a customer subscribes directly without a trial, the account runs on the Pro plan:
20 AI credits per website, per month
Full access to all AI Website Builder features
Active for as long as the subscription stays active
Because the trial is a one time offer, Pro is the only plan an account will show after its trial has been used, whether that trial expired, converted, or was canceled.
What are AI credits?
AI credits are the usage units behind AI Website Builder. Each time you ask the builder to generate a new site or make an AI powered edit to an existing one, it uses part of your credit balance.
Your remaining balance determines how many more AI actions you can perform before you need more credits or your next monthly refresh.

Frequently asked questions
Is the trial a separate plan from Pro?
No. AI Website Builder has one plan, Pro. The trial is a short preview of Pro, not a standalone free tier. After the trial ends, the account continues on Pro.

How long is the trial if I'm currently on a Cloudways Flexible trial?

Can I get another trial after mine ends?
No. Each account gets one AI Website Builder trial for its lifetime. Starting, canceling, or letting a trial expire does not create a new trial opportunity.
Will I ever see a "Free plan" option again?
No. The trial is a one time entry point. Once it's used, the account only shows the Pro plan going forward.
