In this article, you will learn about the backup policy policies of deleted applications and servers for Cloudways Flexible and Autonomous platforms, guiding you through the nuances of recovery and deletion scenarios.
Cloudways Backup Policy for Deleted Servers
First of all, please select your platform:
Cloudways Flexible
In Cloudways Flexible, all application and server backups are retained for 14 days after server deletion. Beyond this timeframe, server and application recovery becomes impossible, and Cloudways bears no responsibility for potential data loss.
Servers can be removed either manually by users or automatically by our system in specific scenarios such as unpaid invoices, insufficient funds, or unattended abuse reports.
We strongly recommend that you try to recover your server or application in the event of accidental or automatic deletion. If you encounter any issues during the recovery process, please contact us to maximize the chances of successful recovery.
Cloudways Autonomous
In Cloudways Autonomous, backups of deleted applications are retained for 14 days, similar to Cloudways Flexible. After this period, the backups are permanently deleted, and recovery is no longer possible. Cloudways will not be liable for any data loss beyond this retention window.
Applications may be deleted manually by users or automatically by our system under certain conditions, such as unpaid invoices, insufficient funds, or unresolved abuse reports.
If your application is accidentally or automatically deleted, we advise you to recover your application first. Should you encounter any difficulties or require additional assistance, please contact us to ensure the best chance of successfully recovering your application.
