On top of not being able to get root access to your servers, you can’t use your own cloud credentials either. The logic that we apply here is exactly the same as the one we describe in our root access KB article:

Our servers, whether from Amazon, Google, DigitalOcean, Linode, and Vultr, are deployed with our specific policies and features. We will be unable to apply the same policies on servers you own personally from our infrastructure partners.

At the same time, if we deploy our servers to your own cloud account, you will most probably be able to bypass our root restrictions using tools at the cloud account level. The end result would be the same that we would lose control of our network.

That’s it! We hope this article was helpful. If you need any help, then feel free to search your query on Cloudways Support Center or contact us via chat (Need a Hand > Send us a Message). Alternatively, you can also create a support ticket.
