If you need mailboxes for your domain (e.g. email@example.com), we have partnered with Rackspace to offer their reliable Rackspace Email service. For just $1/month per mailbox, you will receive a fully-featured email experience that you can trust which will be managed by Cloudways. You can set up mailboxes, aliases, mail forwarding, and add catch-all addresses for your domains.
How to Use Rackspace Email Add-on
Step 1: Setting up the Rackspace Add-on
Log into the Cloudways Platform with your credentials. Click on the Grid icon in the top menu bar. Then select Add-Ons.
Step 2: Setting up Mailboxes
Click the Edit icon beside the Rackspace Email and you will be taken to the main Rackspace mailbox screen.
To set up a mailbox, just enter the email address and password.
You can set up as many mailboxes as you require from this screen by clicking the Add Mailbox.
The password should contain at least eight characters including a combination of uppercase, lowercase characters, and a number.
If this is your first time setting up the mailbox for the domain, you will need to configure your DNS records. If you want to add DKIM records, then please contact us via Live Chat or open a support ticket and we will be glad to assist you.

Step 3: Setting up Aliases
Aliases allow you to create additional email addresses that point to existing mailboxes, without having to create separate mailboxes.
For example, if you have a mailbox: firstname.lastname@example.org, and you want to receive emails at another email address: user2@domain without having a separate mailbox, you can set up the alias: user2@domain that points to email@example.com. Now, you only need to log in to firstname.lastname@example.org and check out the emails received at both addresses.
To set up an alias, go to the Aliases tab. Enter the alias and select the domain from the dropdown menu. Next, select the email address, you wish to be a member of the alias. Click Add and then Save Changes to confirm the changes.
You cannot have aliases with the same name as the mailboxes or alias of aliases.
Step 4: Setting up Mail Forwarding
If you wish, you can forward the emails in your mailboxes to other mailboxes hosted on and outside Cloudways.
To set up mail forwarding, go to the Forwarding Mail tab. Select the mailbox for which you wish to set up mail forwarding from the dropdown menu. Next, enter the email address where you wish to forward the emails. Finally, click Save Changes to confirm.
To set up another mail forwarding, click Add Email.
You can forward emails to a maximum of fifteen (15) addresses, of which four (04) can be off-domain.
Step 5: Set Up Catch-All Address
You can create Catch-All addresses that receive all emails sent to incorrect/nonexistent mailboxes on your domain. This feature ensures that even if the sender makes a mistake in typing the email address, the email is still received on your domain.
To set up a catch-all address, go to the Catch-All tab. In the first dropdown, select the domain, and then the email address from the second dropdown to set up the catch-all address. Finally, click Save Changes to confirm.
